A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I better not let Mr. T see these posts or he will think he deserves better (which he probably does lol)!

JR yours dont like other birds?? Mine protect my turkeys duck and chickens and alarm when there is danger. I have never had an issue?

I had lots of fun today and loved meeting Judy finally! Every time we have gone to see Ralph she has been busy so it was good to meet her. Very nice people!!

I made it home! So excited to show my DH! Round trip odometer? 1412 miles! I think the boys are gorgeous. They were very submissive, but drank at every stop. Looks like right now the lightest one is the alpha of the group. Nobody really ate while traveling, but they did snooze and chatter occasionally. Very polite so far, but let's see how they handle the weather. We were definitely surprised by how temperate it was over there. We get an average rainfall of 12" a year. It felt heavy, moist, cool. Here, already 90 during the day. Gets anywhere from 50 to 60 at night. So much water, lakes everywhere! Everyone seemed to be boating. Too bad we couldn't catch lunch.

And thanks to both of you. It's great meeting other fanciers when you come from cattle country. There's a few, but Montana is certainly not poultry central.

Ralph...dont even ask how far ive driven because of tbe dogs! Your a true breeder! I'm thrilled Mr. T lives up to his pictures. Where is he on the temperament scale?

Holm...ive often tbought Judy must be some kind of saint. How cool you got to meet her.
I know its probably not easy to give up Mr. T.....BUT what an opportunity! Just think of how much fun we will have playing "Guess the Variety". Heck, Ralph may even have to get the Porter Facebook oracles involved. This is going to be FUN!!

Judy is not a saint! She is a witch's daughter, I am assuming she is an apprentice witch or one of Satan's henchmen, but not a saint. I am the saint in this household, if you don't believe it, just ask me.

The path to actually getting Mr T here is a long one. It will be awhile. As far as his temperament I did not notice anything evil in him. I know his blood has supernatural clotting properties. The needle seemed to fill with clots as soon as it hit his veins.

Holm's has a great coop, it is huge everything is nicely set up and clean. The cleanliness made me ill. I cannot have that many things all in the place they belong. I survive on clutter.

We got the see Lucky, Judy was happy to see Lucky. He has grown, a HUGE rooster. It is possible Lucky got a girl pregnant while still a teenager. Holm showed us a chick that is a near splitting image of Lucky (body wise) It also has some "traits" he thinks could have only come from. If so I am guessing Lucky was about 4-5 months old when he sired the chick.

Holm's Grandpa's farm is amazing. They have huge rocks! I so want rocks. The only thing I could see wrong with place is where it is at. When we left there we followed the signs pointing to the "edge of the Earth". It was less than a quarter mile to the viewing stand to look over the edge of the world. I am amazed after seeing the edge the schools still try to teach us the world is round.....

Judy enjoyed her time yesterday too. She visited some with Holm's mother and aunt and helped us do our chicken stuff. When we left there we stopped by my cousin that lives about 15-20 miles from Holm's. Judy got some Orange Tiger lilies that only grow close to the edge of the earth, based on her reaction to some silly flowers they must be very special.
