There is one poult of the 15 that the mamas Annabelle and Rosabelle hatched that doesn't appear to be gaining weight. It has a bit of pasty butt too, and it falls behind the others often. I think it is possible that this is the little heat stroked baby that hatched in the hot hot dogiloo after the hens left the nest. He may be a bit touched in the head. Is there anything I can do besides pull him out and give him to Esther as a pet?

Probiotics and electrolytes is about all I would or could do..

Maybe make a little "dunce Cap" for it.

Reagan got attack by a Tom today. The youngest Tom has taken it upon himself to be the babysitter/Uncle for the 4 little Blue turkeys. The Mama Blue is hatching more eggs, so she is ignoring her babies now. She lets them sleep with her on the nest at night but that is all.

Reagan. my white lab, got between the Tom and the babies, so the Tom attacked. Reagan is a little snippier than Pearl and she snipped back. I yelled at her to stop, she was confused. Had that "but Dad he attacked me first".

It is amazing to see a Tom protecting the babies, they follow him around most the day. He watches them and the sky and sticks really close to them. It seems JJ, Sidekick and the unnamed younger Tom spend most the day with the babies now. JJ does not seem to be able to be bothered much by their well being but the other two seem to be intently interested in keeping them safe.
