A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I just took these pictures today :) Romeo on the left, Dinner on the right. Both boys wanted a hug lol. You can't see but there was a hen between the two of them getting attention too :) I'm very tempted to just go ahead and keep these two and butcher Adam without a replacement. They're both so super sweet!

R2elk...I forgot about the rooster incident! LOL!

Aurora....the mottled boys are so handsome!! What sweeties! Nothing like a few lappers!

Aurora - those boys are adorable!

Memphis - Coco also trashed her tail feathers while being broody, not sure why they do that  At least Annie is still nice about it :). Coco had to spend a couple of weeks with access to no nest box in a chicken tractor to stop her many weeks of sitting on air.

Holm - Mr T must have swimmers....he's too pretty not to have baby T's!

Finnie - Cornbread is gorgeous, whatever she turns out to be!

I had another rooster incident yesterday but sorry no camera. This time it was the head rooster and 6 turkeys had him backed up against the fence. There is one particular hen that will pick a fight with him at almost every chance and he is more than happy to oblige.

Hey folks I haven't been on lately but finally got a chance. Our 4 lappers and one lurky have been doing great. The lappers 2 broad breasted toms a Rio Grande Wild Tom and Rio Grande Wild Hen have been taking care of me since I took a short cut down the stairs, the Black Spanish Tom has been coming inside looking at me purring and clucking but won't let me get close to him unless it's on his terms he is our rescue bird

Whoo! We picked up our poults today.... I was naughty.... I was supposed to go for a trio, but there was a lavender/slate colored chick that I am CERTAIN is a hen that I just *had* to have, so well, we have four poults nice and coozy in their brooder at the moment, I'll probably grab pics in the morning, the red light from the bulb is giving them a neon pink glare, so I'll have to set up a photo-shoot spot with some nice natural lighting in the morning. :D
