A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Although, I thought the girls would look darling in little fleece jackets.

...with matching leggings.....

My oldest hen gets to wear her turkey saddle all year round. She seems to like it and it is like a blanket over her back.

Well we have snow today, which is very unusual here. I don't think any of mine have seen snow before - they looked at me funny when I let them out this morning. No one here knows how to drive when there's white stuff on the ground lol.

I may put saddles on a couple of my chickens who are darn near bald right now. It's well below freezing and they have no feathers :).

Coc was still running around this morning, but I think she's still prolapsed. Will check more closely when I get home tonight.

Stay warm! I'm feeling a bit wimpy complaining about my "freezing" temps after hearing about R2Elk and Ralph's forecast :D

Sounds like that older hen is no fool! Sporting her apron in those temps...smart girl! Bet the other hens are jealous.

Well we survived our first snowfall - and it reminded me how badly people here drive in the snow lol :D.

Coco's prolapse looked better tonight, so I'm cautiously optimistic that things may continue to pull back inside. She laid another stupid egg today, but seems no worse for the experience  Perhaps she's catching up on the eggs that she did not lay in the summer because she sat broody for months? Thanks Ralph for the suggestion to just let it go and see what happens.
