And last thing I wanted to share a pic of our house sparrow. We found her as a fledgling this past summer and managed to raise her to adulthood. She is semi tame. Stays in a big bird cage at night but free roams in house during day. She loves to sit in our shoulders and buzz by the kids heads. She doesn't bite or act wild really. Just a sweet little bird! First wild bird I've managed to nurse back to health and keep alive. Usually they are too fragile when found as babies fallen from their nests. She is happy and healthy.

Last summer, after a Stormy night, we found a fledgling robin stuck on the ground. She was too tiny to fly still and the nest was destroyed. We brought her in and raised her up (found her hatch mate dead the next day in the yard). She was such a sweet birdn and loved to fly in to everyone's hair lol. "Baby bird" stayed in the house until she was able to find food for herself. She got lose once but came back in the evening but the second time we released her she flew away. She would still answer me if I'd call for her and the last time i saw her, she had found a mate. It was like she was showing me that she was fine
