I don't know how well this would work for rats but it should be very effective for mice.

Leave the snake... My aunt and uncle had 62 Pheasants get killed by rats in one night... It was for sure rats... I saw the dirty buggers in the coop when I walked by the window to do chores...

Snakes bug me a lot worse than rats.

Snake would go around my Coop.

If your all's rats are the size of squirrels don't know if that snake could handle one big.

I hate both of them. I was going to recommend letting the snake eat the rat and then kill the snake and get a cat...
