A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Yeah, where we are in proximity to town, it's people with s couple acres and two horses. Now out at the big ranch, that's a whole other matter, that one. Yes, out at Dad's family homestead, where the nearest neighbor is 5 miles north with not another one for many more, where the whole county has 435 total people in it, they like big rounds.

You should look into bales that are a little larger and round....maybe from an old Allis.....

I doubt anyone except @R2elk will get that
You don't have a clue just how many of those round bales I handled. Each bale had to be handled at least 4 times. Loaded out of the field onto a hay wagon, unloaded onto a hay elevator, stacked in the hay mow and finally fed to the cows.

My grandfather didn't even have a tractor and cut and gathered his hay with a team of draft horses. His hay got stacked in the hay mow loose.

My Dad cut all the meadow hay and we (my Brother) and I had to stack it on the rack. We had one of those hay loaders people today say " what is that for"

We never had a Alis round baler, when we got a baler it was a IH.

We had a set of "forks" that went up to a track with a carriage (the name slips my nearly perfect memory now) We would pull a rope that would trip and dump the hay.

LOL...Flashpoint, I understand completely. Here is my question for the day:

No secret I take my girls for a stroll around the front yard for a graze prior to bedtime. Why do men always want selfies holding a turkey? Two guys in a pickup stopped to talk about the girls. (new neighbors) I had to take their pics holding a turkey. While this was going on, a guy pushing his baby in a carriage stopped to talk & he wanted a pic too. Women don't seem to do this. They just want to pet the girls. What up with the selfies?
