A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Thanks. That seems high to me, but sure worked well for you.

It was suggested by the one I got my turkeys from, I also run my duck eggs the same... both do better on sides and within 1 degree higher than the 'norm'... I also never add water to the bator...

I wasn't questioning the temp accuracy, just saying I had much better hatches a touch higher temp... and never done cool downs... ran humidity at 30% for entire incubation and hatch...
My last batch of ducks went in Thursday. Maybe I'll bump up the temp a bit and see how it turns out. At this temp, my chickens have been religious about Day 20 or 21 only had one late comer out of about 150 or so.

Great on the chickens! :thumbsup

Chicken eggs are much smaller than turkey or regular/large breed duck eggs, though... :)

What humidity are you running the duck eggs at? Do you mist or sponge them at all last few days before *lockdown*?

I run 45% until lock down and then go to 60%. I have not misted or sponged them.

I run mine at 30%, and mist mine from day 21 to day 25 at least, if not a day earlier... I no longer raise humidity for hatching either and they're coming out easier and much better... just my 2 cents...
