A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

@DwayneNLiz henceforth DL.
In my defence I prefer ham.....and they GIVE away FREE Turkeys when you buy a ham.... :celebrate
lol, i like both and i always stock up when they go on sale, if oyu want you can just call me Liz, i read all posts so i will see it

Is there a button I don't know about that you press to direct your conversation at someone?
not sure what you mean but tagging like you did or quoting/replying works too

Wrong place and off topic BUT does anyone have any idea WHAT this is?? I just noticed a half dozen or so different sizes . I bought two and ONLY two Rhode island reds from Tractor Supply a while back. I'm pretty sure THEY died. There are at least 6 of these. This one is extremely long legged. What ever it is is growing the frame to be a BIG chicken.View attachment 1066142
wow, it does have long legs, still looks pretty hatchery-like rir, but maybe it got crossed with something along the way
Don't feel alone... I can understand some very complicated things, but some days walking and chewing gum at the same time is impossible...
Do we need to get out the bubble wrap again??

You need more Calls... free range those guys... ;)

Sorry, Bob, that's awful.... just took out a HUGE coon myself last night, duck eggs were his specialty though, luckily he hadn't upgraded yet...

I prefer ham as well... :highfive:

And I call her Liz, lol... :D
i am working on it, my daughter just told me this morning that she wants 364 ducks, i told her she needed to convince her daddy- not me

grats on the coon, glad you got it before he got any ducks

I don't have mentors with my poults...

My turkeys are on time, chickens can vary, lol... I have bantams and lf...

That's even more awful! Sorry for your losses... fisher, maybe?

X2 ask Alaskan about the stoat that decimated his flock... :(

Dry here is 30-40%, no lower... Bob is in my climate, thus my suggestion... but I clarified my humidity in another post... :)

But that leaves out Dewayne

All the BB's are sitting in front of the fans in the garage waiting on breakfast. Hopefully I can get them into the new pen today. All the talk of predators has me worried. New people moved in across the street with three ankle biters. I gave them fair warning. They chase any of my birds in my yard everyone involved gets shot.

I find mine easy to eat, I roast them, slice them into small pieces and shove them into my mouth...

It is the processing I find hard.

I could eat your turkeys - but I don't know them. Easy peasy :thumbsup
I felt the same way last year. So instead of eating Cupcake, we sold him to someone else, and then bought a lady's turkey that she had already frozen. :D

You can also type the @ symbol followed by the person's username. After you start typing their username, some options will come up for you to click on. Don't finish typing the username, or the options will go away. I have found I need to actually click on the option, or it doesn't work. (That might be my error though.)
Then it will appear in your post like a link, and it will send an alert to the person.
I have to admit, just hitting the reply button is easier. But the @ symbol way does it w/o quoting their post, if you prefer to leave it out.

And here, I tried to highlight part of Ravyn's post, but all my phone would allow me to capture was one word!

Anyway, I will probably not be giving mentors soon either, because I am done hatching chickens for the year and the last few are getting a little too large for it. Future hatched turkeys will probably have to go mentorless.

Well ALMOST finished with the 1st new pen. Its complete enough that I was able to go remove 7 of the 9 broody midgets from their spots. Two of them didn't even have eggs under them. I guess they were keeping the others company. The eggs that are left are under a TC and another MW .lol I know Ralph, there are no midgets.
I will eventually get them also. The eggs are probably petrified by now.
