One of our newbies took a pic of her birds chowing on her lettuce garden. My garden is in the dog's run so pretty much the only visitors it gets are the turkey hens--but since I grow leaf lettuce they haven't made the connection, at least not yet.
Now as for the coons, I have yet to get a cantaloupe.

One of these nights she's going to show up while I'm out there and I'll invite her to dinner.
I grow mine for DW and when she's not happy, I'm not happy. Funny how that works.I would rather eat her than the melon.......
The weird thing is I love growing them but hate the taste of them, so either my wife eats them or we give them away.
Mine already ate every Concord grape I had!! They jumped 4-5 feet to pluck one or a few at a time. No grape jelly this year!
My girls are spoiled... They won't eat whole fruits and veg, instead they wait for me to open them up. They are also good on cabbage worms, but seem to be selective. They eat the big ones and leave the small ones. ARGMine already ate every Concord grape I had!! They jumped 4-5 feet to pluck one or a few at a time. No grape jelly this year!
