A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Been working like crazy but wanted to let you guys know my little guy is doing much better. His skin under eye is still kinda loose but the swelling is way down. Not sure if it was tylon, eye ointment or extra washes with saline but I'm not worried anymore about him. Although I now think he just has an attituded problem lol. I was hoping it was just from being sick.

one of my nari developed an attitude problem when he was a year old.. I put up with footprints on my calf and butt for a couple of months.. then he started to grab my hand holding the feed bucket after the food was set out... almost dropped the feed bucket.. tried carrying him, shoving him on the ground with his head on the ground and let the other peck him even.. he would straighten up for 2 days then one day then one hour.. ..when I skinned him he had an ingrown feather between his vent and tail..might be why he was crotchety....he tasted very good... 14+lbs dressed 7 + lbs waste

So who's going to be monitoring their flocks to see if there is any crazy behavior?

I'm going to be and kind of hope that coyote thats been lurking comes out for a visit.:fl

The only behavior that I notice was the roosters crowing as totality approached and then they shut up as soon as the light came back on.

I did have a beautiful 5 point (10 points for easterners) mule deer buck come by but had the cameras set for the eclipse so I missed that photo op.

Only thing I saw was my chickens and turkeys taking to their roosts, the dux wigged out a bit at totality and ran into their shelter but came right back out as the sun reappeared. I had a barred owl and a great horn take flight--but they returned to their perch as the sun reappeared. No fur bearing creatures that I could see. Too bad on the buck. If you got good pix please share.:bow
