To R2's point, my normal feed contains 60 pounds of nutri-balancer per ton and my turkey starter 80 pounds per ton.

The WWD goes crazy when the turkeys perch on the vehicles. We park them quite a ways from the coop and their area, but they still find them now and then.

I was late this morning opening the coop and pole barn. They let me know. I love my walk from the coop to the pole barn, it;s about 250ft or so, I have a couple of the older Toms right along side me and the rest following around me with about a dozen chickens mixed in. I feel like a leader of a pack of cub scouts on a field trip. They talk and chatter the whole way. The Oldest RP tom is always the closest to me about 3 ft to my right. It is one of the little things that makes turkey owning so much fun.

The teenagers bedtime is what makes turkey owning not so fun. They still try to stay outside every night, even though they never get too.

I've got them on the highest protein chicken grower I could find and they were on a Gamebird starter for the first 4 weeks but I've slowly ran out. It was $40 for 20 lb and can't afford that going rate... the feed store only had a 16% turkey chow locally so I assumed a high quality freshly made 21% chick starter would be better than the turkey feed no one is buying.

WOW! I scream when I have to pay $18 for 50#s. Go here and put in your zip and see who pops up around you. Make sure you call who ever pops up to make sure they have feed as some of their retailers only do lawn care.
 
Sounds like my story... I got lucky though... The salesman for my new feed company lives just up the road, so he's willing to meet me 12 miles from the house to hand off feed. My new feed provider is in Northern Alabama.
