I screwed a block into the side studs and then the flat 2x4 onto the block

My husband was like "I'm not cutting anymore boards" hence the angled roosts, haha. It works and the birds don't mind.

That's why my feeder and waterer are hanging. They definitely knock them over and kick stuff in them if they aren't raised up!

My birds think anything suspended is time for a violent game of tether ball. I've resorted to things they can't break.

Well, you have to start disciplining when they are young, you can't wait until they are adults.....you know the old adage "spare the rod spoil the poult."

My turkey cover is now toast... My big black Tom decided it was a good perch and busted the pvc. ARG

Thankfully mine are still at the scaredy cat and mostly innocent stage and don't break things. They've just started really getting into strutting and establishing pecking order. Special squint-eye tom always tries to go after the bigger two eyed tom and then one or two of the hens come barreling over and grabs the boys by the neck and drags them around until they stop fighting. It's the ladies that rule the roost

Meanwhile as the ladies discipline the boys the guineas screech and flap around like they're next.
