All of our snow melted away over the past couple days but I hear we may have a white Christmas. They're calling for snow Sunday evening.

It will be too cold to snow here on Christmas...

Ha...it's snowing on the BYC banner. Cool!
We are getting up to 7.5 inches of rain today. What a mess! Currently 61 degrees. That's even warm for us this time of year. I'm just grateful this rain isn't snow or ice.
My neighbor was putting Christmas lights on her bushes yesterday evening. She had them lit. OMG. You should have seen the girls pecking at the bulbs as she was stringing them. They were so funny. The little Sussex were with us. Not sure what they were trying to do, but the were hopping straight up into the air and trying to grab something in the bushes. Birds were so goofy my neighbor & I just stood there laughing. Yeah, I'm sure the rest of my neighbors figure we lost it.

i processed 8 or so of the quail a couple weeks ago, you only get like 2 tablespoons worth of meat from the stupid things

unfortunately my hubby gave all of them to a friend of his

I love his color and wish I could make more.. but the problem with them being so beautiful is inviting them to dinner
I got 3 older poults from someone who ordered hatching eggs and was told she could get bourbon, bronze and palm... 2 ended up being jakes, she thought were bourbon and palm aren't , but are so handsome. Now I need to figure out who is coming to dinner. I have a Nari that is not related so he is my first pick to stay, just have to decide who is staying as back up LOL

Mr. T yesterday... I was taking pictures of chickens and he was just standing around so I took some pics of him too lol! He's getting to be an old guy... I think he is 4-5 years old? I guess he isn't as old as some people's turkeys lol... I saw a lady on Facebook who posted about her 14 year old tom that just died... I hope Mr. T lives that long!

The WWD is not happy...She has just discovered all the little silver fake holly like balls on her Christmas decorations she put in the flower boxes on the deck,,,,,have disappeared and are lying on the ground and sidewalk...

She, of course, is blaming my turkeys with no proof whatsever....

Also she thinks the fake greenery that has been pulled out of the boxes is do to the turkeys too...


I have no idea what I am going to do, I try and try to make peace between her and the turkeys and she just refuses to meet them halfway...

I might need to trade her in, I will miss her, she is a great dishwasher...

Mr. T looks great Holm. 4-5 isn't old...he's just hitting his prime!
Poor Judy...she tries so hard. To be honest...my girls would be all over Christmas decorations...especially if they were shinny. They can't reach the wreath on my door, but they sure stood there talking about it when I first put it out.

Then you would have to train a new dishwasher
... might be easier and cheaper to confined the turkeys
