How is Annabelle doing? Still egg bound?

Yes, but she eats and drinks a bit. I think she may have been a little bit chubby so she's got a bit of cushion to fall back on, and she's able to poop a bit, enough to keep from completely backing up, but she's pretty miserable with the egg stuck there, and I tried manipulation but it wouldn't descend to where it could be laid. I got some liquid calcium from the vet office, and today we will do more baths and got some ky jelly because it is more slippery. As long as she keeps going, I'll keep working on her, but I'm taking it slow so I don't hurt her.

Indications are that a lot of these kinds of problems including prolapses can be due to too much fat. You may want to reconsider your feed regimen for your adult turkeys.

I absolutely knew you would say that lol. Problem is I need more pens! I didn't think she was chubby until I got hands on her.
Fatness contributes absolutely to these problems. I'm feeding 60 cockerels among the others. The cockerels are not fat. I want them fat. The turkey are fat. I want them trim. I need to pen up the cockerels but I've nowhere I want to pen them really.
I really need to get better at carpentry.
So there's my excuses.

My girls got a bit pudgy over the winter but seem to have slimmed down. They have greens to graze and seems they are more active this time of year.

It is snow and rain mix here turning to more and more snow. Temperature is dropping from a high of 49°F at midnight to the current low of 36°F now.

You guys normally get snow this late in the season? It's almost 90 down here! Girls sitting on the porch rail panting a bit. Just gave them some blueberries.

Coonhound hasn't moved yet. Poked him to make sure he was still alive. Poor guy. They ran their skinny hound hineys off last night. We ran four dogs together. These were experienced hunt champions getting ready for competition. Mine is still young & learning but kept up with the mature dogs. The older dogs weren't cutting my pup any breaks. Competitive group. No goofing around. As soon as we lined them up & let them loose they shot off. No socializing. It's so interesting to me how these sweet couch potatoes can immediately be focused. They sure know their jobs. That's what my pup needs to learn....no playing....get on it. Good learning experience for him! We were in the low rolling hills of Noth Mississippi. You could hear their bays bouncing around. It was pretty cool.
