They use breed instead of variety :he
Several times in the article:lau

What do you think of this @duluthralphie ?:smack

I have re-read the article and stand by my use of the term "breeds". I used it referring to heritage breeds once. When referring to an animal the common dialect is to refer to the farm animals of the past/pioneers/ancestors of today's animals as "heritage breeds".

It would be odd to call them "heritage variety", as that term is used more in conjunction with plants, heritage variety of tomatoes, bean and so forth.

The other time I used it was to differentiate between Broad Breasted birds and real turkeys. While they are technically a variety, they can hardly be classified as one as they will not maintain their unique traits over generations.

In addition, I wrote this for people desiring to raise turkeys and to help them. At the time there were a ton of people raising turkeys on chicken feed/starter/grower. They would put them in a brooder together and feed them like the chicks. While I raise mine together I feed the chicks Game bird starter/grower even though they do not need the extra protein and nutrients the turkeys do.

SO in conclusion, I was correct and the you weren't,,,,,,,,,,,so go suck a lemon!!
