3 silly poults got wedged between the brooder box and the wall! Luckily one was doing the lost/ mild distress bark and I found them. One was wedged so tightly I was afraid I was going to hurt it trying to pull it out! Poor fella was out of breath being so tight, but after stumbling a bit and regaining senses, seems alright.

Yay! I hatched 27 poults, bought 3 poults (different color) and finally sold 3 hatched poults. All the people who said they wanted poults disappeared when the little buggers hatched. :th

I have 3 Royal Palms (purchased) we just figured out are two boys and a girl. The others I hatched are 3 black, 3 slate, 3 traditional Bronze, 4 Oregon gray, and 11 red Bronze. We are finally starting to tell genders on them, I think because the older trio is now nearby and beginning to display. I'm thinking we will be eating a lot of turkey this winter.

I do not need more turks. I do not need more turks. Paul told me i could order more poults if i wanted. Hahahaha this man is such the enabler! I have four toms left from the first hatch as of tomorrow. And i got eight littles growin that i dont know what they are yet. I am sure to get at least two jennies right? :). So out of what i have left i will have enough turkey in the freezer to last me i do believe. But dangit. Lol. If i dont get two jennies there is always chickenstock in the fall.... there is always one man that has lovely sexed ages birds there.... so i could nab them then if i needed.

Oh! Did not realize that my plymouth rock had been missin three weeks. It has beena loooong several months here full of nonsense and crazies. :sick Last night she showed up with two pretty lil hitchikers in tow. :he. Guess she figured out a way to not go to chicken jail and get what she wanted... to be a mama. :lau. But she did go to chicken jail after all..... with the hitchikers.
