A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

It snowed here a few days too and it gave me a kick in the booty to finish winterizing what was necessary because it hung out around 5 degrees.
I get similar to r2 elk but he's higher up so he gets a little colder
Sunny and -8°F this morning. Temporarily there is no wind.

Drizzle. 56. Lots colder than normal. Can't believe you have -8 R2elk. Ugg!
We're supposed to have stormy cold weather here for Halloween too. Poor kids. Betting there won't be too many out & about.
The sun is still shining and unbelievably the wind is still calm. The temperature is all the way up to 15°F right now.

I feel sorry for the Yellow-rumped Warbler that I just saw. It is the first one that I have seen get stuck here for a snow storm. They are normally well on their way south before the snow starts.

:gigI have just received a report from Junior’s new home...

Junior is not adjusting well.

The exact terms used were “he (junior) tried flogging me when I was doing chores”

This was sent me by the new sorry sack dux owner that has Junior in rehab.

He said he was going to put a harness on Junior and make junior follow him or he would drag Junior around.

I have asked this be video tape.... I think all of us would find this educational...:lau:lau:lau:lau:lau

Please send your requests for a copy of the video to @holm25

Junior is lucky he is bruised or he would be a guest of honor at a family gathering on Saturday...

I noticed Junior was black and blue on his snood. It also had some scans on it... I hope the bruising was not from my leading him in circles by the snood...

Personally, I think he is a lost cause and should go on 30 days of corn and water....then lose his head.:old

If I was able to i would have taken in an aggressive turkey, over the past 5 years I have been able to tame many aggressive roosters, ducks, and even tamed an aggressive BBW Tom who hated children, and dogs (I even caught wild peafowl and got them pretty tame), during some of my freetime I spend time taming aggressive animals (except dogs, and cats, I can never trust any around my pets).

I had also managed to tame a couple of horses that didn't like being around people at a neighbor's ranch, one of them is promised to me, but I have to get an acre or two of land fenced in before I can adopt the horse.

Happy Halloween all!W have you all been up to this week? It got really quiet in here. We're bracing for the wind and rain that's sure to get us soon. Tonight was supposed to be trick or treat night for a lot of local places but it's been changed to Saturday evening. DS is going to be upset :/ He was really looking forward to going tonight. Saturday the band has to tag along to a playoff game so he won't be able to go trick or treating. Oh well, I guess that's life.

I still have no clue who is laying eggs for me but it has to be someone inexperienced. They're always in a random spot, usually in the mud in the run :/
