A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Ya we do that w the ducks the chickens win the prize tho they are either already in or go in as soon as I put the ducks and geese away.
Also it’s confirmed belle is a dumb dumb fiancé found her out pacing back and forth upset she couldn’t get back in again.
Can they jump 3 or 4 ft with clipped wing too?
Folks correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure they can jump without wings up to 7 feet if they want to.

Mine do it all the time - clean up into the trees. Clipping only slows down flying. They have STRONG legs and can bounce really well. The toms do not get up as much now - I guess due to size. But the midget whites and the two heritage hens can go wherever they want, when they want, regardless of what I want.

my turkeys go back into their coop when i refill their feeders for the evening, but i do have 3 young turkeys in the group that prefer to get some lapper time before they go to roost in their coop. One is a Harvest gold tom, named Happy Tom, the 2nd is a Silver Auburn currently does not have a name, and a white hen thats supposed to be a silver dapple, she's named Snowball (I saw that Snowball was not too amused when she heard my brother call her "Butterball" by accident), and i'm starting to notice some of the poults are getting the fleshy knobs on their heads, and necks (I think there might be about 4 - 5 toms, of which i plan on keeping only 2, one of those spots is taken by my Silver Dapple tom, so my extra toms have to start drawing straws to see who stays, and who moves to a different farm)
