Speaking of sweet turkey hens....was sitting on a bench, Daisy in my lap, Blossom & Marigold sitting on either side preening. Just made my day. Nothing like hanging with the girls. And where was Skinny Iris? Perched on top of the coop door yapping at us. Love me a turkey hen!!

It was 65 yesterday. Today we are preparing for 4 inches of rain & tornadoes. Ugg.

Unknown right now... It could stay north of us or it could slam us. I seem to live on some kind of dividing line and the weather dorks never seem to know what to really expect.

was in 60s yesterday, rain all day today turning to freezing rain to snow tonight/tomorrow. expecting only 3-5 snow but maybe will be enough I might have to clear streets tomorrow.

Yeah, tame turkey hens would help call in the wild toms. That's kind of what happened at my parent's house, we had a wild tom hanging around trying to steal our hens, he didn't survive this hunting season.

We use to have wild turkeys once I got JJ and Ethel the wild turkeys stopped coming into the yard... with the exception of the wanton women ones that appear in the spring to corrupt my good boys.

With the massive flocks of wild turkeys we have around here, I'm amazed we never have any come in the yard.
