A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I am getting jealous of all you getting turkey eggs. I have resorted to firing up the incubator and putting in some ayam cemani eggs and some from my mixed chicken flock. Starting to get the hatching itch reading about others hatching...lol
Don't feel bad, I won't be getting any turkey eggs until the middle of March.

I set a batch of my own girls’ eggs. They’re five days in and 14 of 22 showing visible development. One has a blood ring. The rest are clear so far. Considering there’s only one rooster in with the girls, that’s not too shabby, I suppose. I want to learn to caponize and poulardize. Soooo, here’s hoping I have a good eye and a steady hand. I would like to have meat chickens that don’t need harvesting all at once nor purchasing every year.

Helped set eggs with the animal science class off the local FFA chapter today
