A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

This is kind of what I have hanging from rafters...

I put a nest box on top of it for them...but I doubt they will use it..

I have even been posting articles on the walls in the shed that state..

“turkeys are found nesting birds”””

In an attempt to retrain them and shame them for being weird..

Miss Fatty's nest is three bales and a scrap piece of siding for a roof, the roof is tied on via extra twine, to make a hinge. The three bales are set at a slight angle against an inner wall to make the opening smaller. The two bale side has a one string bale on bottom, so it flares out a bit, making a half wall and curving in a bit to further conceal the opening. The floor is dirt and hay, which is easiest for nesting in.

No turkey eggs for me yet, but I’m getting these Huge things (and chicken eggs).

There’s a goose sitting on a bunch of them. I wasn’t sure what to do when I found them. I’m gonna bring them in the house tomorrow morning, though. Even if she could hatch them it’s just too early. Too cold! 🥶
