You only have enough hens for one tom. The best option is to get down to one tom through any means necessary which can include rehoming two of the toms. If you keep all of them together there are very strong odds of your turkey hens getting injured.I have three toms and four royal palm females.Someone posted if the ratio isn’t right the male turkeys will begin trying to mate the chickens and kill them.Has anyone dealt with this issue before? It would be very sad for me to get rid of a Tom as they are very tame pets.
If you can't bear to get rid of the surplus toms, the other option is to pen them where they cannot see the other tom and the hens. You may feel sad about removing two of the toms but you will be much sadder if they accidentally kill one or more of your turkey hens.
The part about toms trying to breed chicken hens is a concern if a single tom is raised and kept with chickens. He won't understand that there is a difference between chickens and turkeys and will try to mate with them when his hormones are raging.
