10 broodies! That's alot!!

I didn't notice how long the contest goes. Maybe some turkey will become a mom soon. I just like to see us participate! The duck people are all over these contests!!

I have 5 more to go, unless I sell them. I have eggs up for sale and 2 people asked if I had hens. With 16 hens I was wanting to sell a few anyway.
Sold 1 yesterday. One guy was supposed to come and get 2 but he never got back for a time. I had locked up 2 Sunday morning.
Another guy was supposed to come today but asked if he could get one yesterday. I said yes and msgged the first guy that I would have to catch another and to let me know or I was turning her loose. Never heard back. Gotta love selling stuff.

Was on a conference call with clients. Kept hearing a hen chirping. For over an hour. As soon as I could, ran out to see what was going on. Just Blossom standing on the porch chirping at the door. Went & sat on the steps....she sat next to me to get petted. Guess she needed some attention.

I've had good luck when it comes to sweet hens. Just takes time & patience to earn their trust. Once they decide to trust you, they are all over ya like feathered dogs....always wanting attention. I love it. They just hang out.

DD has befriended one of the older poults in the brooder. I usually don't have them around this long but most people aren't willing to meet up right now. She named her Pineapple lol. It better be a girl!

Pineapple! LOL DD needs a turkey friend! That's one of the things that surprised me about having turkeys....how much the kids love them, and how good the birds are with the kids. I expected the kids to be a little scared of such big birds...but no, they can't wait to get their hands on them.

my local murdocks has broad breasted turkeys in stock now.... look to be 3 to 4 weeks old.... hmmmmm. could be a great thanksgiving dinner???
