A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Coonhound killed his first cat. It was in my backyard. Let him out the backdoor. He saw it immediately. Cat never had a chance. No collar, not sure if it was a stray or someone's pet. As usual, quick clean kill. Then he ran off to potty. It was sort of a drive by kill. Poor guy had to poop! That's one thing I consistantly hear about coonhounds....NOT GOOD WITH CATS.

I did not think mine was ever going to get used to our cat. My cat is a big A -hole Tom though and he stands up to him... Even provokes him from time to time and swats him on the nose regularly. He does not have any front claws so all it does is make him mad. The funniest thing is he does not like getting swatted in the face so when he wants to chase him out of the room sometimes he will just walk sideways towards the cat and just push him out that way 🤣
It's like Garfield and Odie around here some days.
I think it might be a totally different story if a cat came into the yard though.

My cat is an exotic - Savannah cat- f6
So she can be very sassy and isn't above fighting with Apollo, who now weighs in close to 150?
She likes him, however, and we know this because she regularly whaps his face and he never cries. She also has her claws, so she must be velveting them when punching him in the nose. Otherwise, I'm sure there would be high drama as the puppy seeks me to protect him. As it is, he just noses at the cat and wags his tail until she does something, which pleases him very much.

Secretly I believe the cat loves the attention.

You have to share a picture of your Savannah! DH and I have been eyeing them up for years but we want to save up for an F2 or F3
