A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Well...he's not food motivated and usually just nibbles throughout the day. So an egg on his kibble makes him clean his bowl. So it may be a case of a full belly. I will say....he keeps himself in good weight. My Aussies would gorge themselves to death!!
Beagles and labs would too.

I have been hearing the hen talking right outside my window. I am no longer without a poult. I went out and checked on her. She was doing the baby talk thing and the remnants of one egg shell is laying on the ground beside her. Her head and neck were all coiled up ready to strike. I guess I will be prepping the brooder tomorrow.

The hen outside my window has been pleading all morning. She has at least 4 poults, one Tri-Color Mottled Slate and 3 Sweetgrass while the other hen has coaxed a 4th Sweetgrass poult over to her. She had at least two of them yeaterday. Her eggs aren't due until next week so...
Time to pull them from at least the one that is not due

Poult thief!!

Here's a new one. Skinny Iris is running between two nests. She's stealing eggs & putting them in one or the other nest. She'll sit on one nest awhile then go sit on the other for a bit. I cleaned them out & carried her around a bit giving her "the talk". Goofy bird!!
