This isn't the Calendar contest. Landscape mode is not a requirement. Whatever best displays the indignity of the molt is a requirement.Be sure to take sideways pics for the contest
My two blue red bronze kids have officially hit the 5 month mark. Really convenient those 2 hatched on June 1st, easy to remember how old they are lol. Everyone is looking great.
Harper is looking good and filling back out. I'm so glad I got to her early enough for her to recover.
Her brother, Asher, as much of a brat he is, looks stunning. He decided to puff up as I pulled the camera up. I love all the colors in his feathers.
The other 2 sweetgrass are doing great. I love their patterns. Such funny kids, too.
Ryker (Lil Baby) got much more orange. She's also significantly smaller then everyone still. I wonder if she was a couple weeks younger then her siblings or if she's just tiny. Got the funniest personality, she's a real ham.
Egret looks great too. My mom fell in love with her. Don't know really what I'm going to do because I really only wanted to keep 1 sweetgrass and Ryker has that spot. I guess Ill just see how she keeps developing. I dont like having more than one of a color in my flock haha. Limited room so I like to have as many unique kids as I can.

Took some pics of the shabby molting hens. They were not feeling very sexy so they didn't like me taking pictures so it was difficult to get any good ones. I did get 5 different girls.

This is my long bearded hen. She had a light molt and is done already. These are pics from spring. You can see she needed a molt toms treading on her and really shredded her feathers. She is looking good now one of my older hens. Didn't take any new pics of her after molt.

Like you said @yesterDAYNE I like the unique birds also and always loved my bearded hens. I guess that's y I have kept so many of them.

I also have toms with multiple beards. Had one a few years ago that had 8, 1 long thick beard 3 thin but same length with the other 4 thin and short. Have one now with 5, 1 main thick with 4 thin and shorter love that type of uniqueness or rarities.
