A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

My kids are spoiled too, I just cant resist them. My girl Harper bullies the sweetgrass sometimes when they decide to sit with me because I guess it's her spot, so they burrow their heads into me to hide and squeal like they're being killed when she pecks them. It's kinda pathetic but very funny.

Here they are hiding from her wrath today. She started with Lil Baby who hid on my knee, got annoyed she couldn't get her, and went after the other sweetgrass Egret, who also ran over and hid as soon as she can. Ruthless.

I also found this sweet picture of Harper and Big Kid when they were both sick, cuddling. It's very cute and hits a sore spot, but in a good way. I wish I'd had gotten closer for a better quality. I miss her more then I thought I would, considering she was originally the only girl I was going to sell. I guess doting over them really bonds.

You can go back through and see my posts, I've had some very special bonds with my birds. These birds are easy to love and hard to hold on to. Mars was the first, Artemis is the latest, and Hedylogus has decided I'm his whether I like it or not

Yes turkeys can really get to you with there different personalities. Best bird to raise in my opinion love raising mine.

the sweet bumblefooted poult from spring has earned herself a name from my daughters. She is now Hazel. She got selected as flock representative for the annual Blessing of the Pets, a catholic tradition for the feast of St Francis. Our priest is a Franciscan so he lets everyone bring pets to church for it. Every year people crowd around to pet whatever flock rep we bring (city folks get excited about turkeys that are pettable). Hazel is extremely good natured, probably due to all the medical treatment she received. When the doctor opened up that foot, the puss just would not stop and her food got opened in 3 spots. One foot is slightly bigger than the other one.
