So, yesterday I noticed a crow watching the chickens. I figured they were safe as I don't think a crow will go after a chicken. Today, he's hopping all around foraging with them. If I go out, he flies off, but he comes right back. I locked them up for part of the day and he sat (on the ground) next to their run and just squawked. I've tried to get a picture but he flies off. SO odd!

Sounds great to me. Crows alert on predators and will gang up and drive off raptors. Unless it is entering the coop and sucking eggs, no problem!

Nope, he oddly won't even go in the run though there's food and water. He has taken some water from the outside the run dish. I ended up emptying to prevent germs. He's pretty huge, but seems harmless.

Hey keep him around, as said above they are great for running off any unwanted predators like hawks and such.

They WILL go after chicks. and cats. and gardens. and eat eggs.
I am in the minority of crow haters. The ones in my area do nothing about hawks.

Thats weird harveyhorses. I used to hate crows until we got chickens and then they finally became of use lol.

here the crows are a mixed bag. They will definitely eat small chicks and, if in a murder, will attack larger birds. They DO earn their keep by alerting to hawks, but so do blue jays and even the barn swallows.

Yes!...They will indeed do that. I even had a crow that walked into the chicken house at night to roost with them. Though sometimes it would roost on the roof rather than inside. I always welcome crows as they will chase hawks off and attempt to warn the chickens of any ground predators. The crows are grateful for any eggs that I leave out for them to take and I've never had a problem with them stealing any.
