Real bummer, he's the JP who married us.

I normally have a pretty good outlook on life, but I am not some rose-colored-glasses Pollyanna type. I see it for what it is, and call a spade a shovel. Good news is that the hens are beginning to lay again.

Sword, keep sending applications out. It's especially tough straight out of college, and if you know of *anyone* who can get you an in into *any* job (even the crappiest job, just work it for 3-6 months), it gets a lot easier as "previous job experience" is what many employers tend to look for. Doesn't matter if you can do their job for them, most people who do the hiring only care about what someone looks like on paper I've found. But seriously, sometimes it feels like you are flinging resumes into a black hole of doom and you wonder, "is anyone out there? Hello?". Some places get back to you, no kidding, five months later. By then, you'll already have a job.

Sorry Ranchie, that is real downer.
Also I wish I could help everyone with problems.

No serious rant here. I was supposed to be off today, but got asked to come in and help out with a luau. I wasn't thrilled with working on my day off, but it turned out OK. It was easy work, and I got to see my coworkers do karaoke.

Imp- I may post pictures

Urgh. This week has been long and pointless. However it's friday and almost - almost the weekend. So close I can taste it

You are probably too young to be a Zeppelin fan, but here is my favorite line anyway. "A new day will dawn, for those who stay long and the forest will echo with laughter."

Many many years ago I had the same problem when I was a college student. The economy sucked in the late 70's also. I found that getting up to watch the sunrise while playing Stairway to Heaven worked wonders for my outlook.

Hang in there.

I went to get on my bike (bicycle) Monday afternoon to start my commute home to find 2 flat tires. I replaced the tubes and ended up pinching one of them. Borrowed one from a friend who also rides and it pumped up fine. Went to top off the other and had a stem rupture. Had to get him to give me a ride home in his car.
