That was gorgeous

(XDXDXD)

Raksha stood four-square, her damp hackles raised sharply once again. "But... I saw her again," she whispered to herself. Her eyes glazed over as she thought, her mind desperately snagging every detail of her dream and holding on to it.
Her daughter was alive.

~Dotpup hurried alongside of Shadow, her head and tail appropriately low. Every few heartbeats, she'd trip, and then turn away from Duskypup as soon as her balance returned, unable to bear the look of pure pity the older pup continually gave her. She wasn't allowing herself to think or feel- she was riveting every pulse of her remaining energy on just continuing forward. As they neared the sandy rise that dropped off into the bowled camp, Dotpup's subconscious began to formulate a thought before she quickly abolished and obliterated it. "They'll be at the entrance," she mumbled, not quite sure if she was verbally speaking or conferring to herself within her head. "We can go right up."~

Shadow glanced down at Dotpup and nodded in acknowledgement. She stood at the top of the little peak, trying to fill her burning lungs with air again. The adrenaline was beginning to fade now. She knew it wouldn't be long before it wore off completely and left her exhausted.
"Not yet," she whispered. "If they took me as an enemy I wouldn't have a chance. Let's find some shelter and wait til dawn."
Quickly, before her scent carried down the hill, Shadow turned and trotted for a ways, finding a large evergreen bush that formed a little cave with a bramble bush. "The evergreen is too thick to get through, except for a small dog, and the brambles will make at least some sort of deterrent..." She thought. She ushered the two pups in and curled up around them protectively. "And if it comes to fighting... Dotpup could be collateral - if it comes to fighting again."

~Owl stared coldly at Calamitypup. A shiver of mild distaste ran beneath her fur at the sight of the shattered scrap. She'd never liked pups, and this one in particular had always gotten Owl's blood boiling with her catastrophic tendencies. Honestly, Rip Pack would've been much better off without Thunder's defective spawn. He'd allowed himself to be killed by an enemy border patrol, hadn't he?
And now the mother had finally expired. Who killed her was irrelevant to Owl, although she'd already begun to nurture her own plausible guesses by going off of certain absences and betraying stances. She'd worm it out of Reed once he'd recovered enough to discuss such things of unimportance.
What mattered is that another weakling had become one with the dirt, and now one stronger could rise to take her place.
Rise. Owl's jaw clamped down hard. Even their Alpha had fallen prey to her own debilitating habit of indecision. There was nothing barring Owl's way to gaining the rank she deserved now. She'd certainly worked her way into Reed's favor by managing the upkeep of the dangerous secrets he'd been progressively accruing as of late...
Owl sighed bitterly, and pointedly turned away from the miniature wreck, taking great care to ensure that she was satisfyingly flecked in bloodied dirt. If only she'd been dealt with as well.~

Coal's head swam. She was too tired, too exhausted from fighting to go out again, and that was the only thing she knew clearly.
She slowly, steadily walked up to Stream, her pace giving her an intimidating air that she didn't intend to have, and stood nose to nose with her Beta.
"That dog... The dog who I think has Dotpup. She's too smart to be found," she rasped. "I've seen her breed once before, and not many dogs can top them in intelligence or strength. When they fight they fight to kill..."
She paused, as she realized that the brindle hound hadn't killed her.
"... This one's different. Dotpup will be fine until we can all see straight," Coal finished. Her gravelly tone faded to an almost desperate whisper as the blood in her head flowed to her feet, leaving her dizzy once again.

"I doubt she'd have mercy again, if Redfeather and the others found her, unless she isn't what I think she is."

Dust stopped infront of Shadow, Duskypup and Dotpup "Greetings. Don`t worry I know why you have come, even if my pack does not. If you wish to go to our camp please follow me." He said kindly, dipping his head in a peaceful greeting

~Hawk came up alongside of Squirrelflight on the path to camp. Every hair on his pelt twitched with exhaustion and the sight of the red halfbred chatting casually with a half-conscious Raksha was enough to rouse his fizzing irritation at everything. "Squirrelflight," he snapped gruffly, looming over her. "We've still got dogs on the beach. You're fit enough to help. Come on."~
