>~* A Howl At Midnight>~* A FORGOTTEN DOGS ROLEPLAY!

Cave chuckled quietly. "Gotta love me even if you don't want to," she murmured. She sank to her belly and laid her head on her paws, watching as Obsidian tried to round up more dogs to go in patrol.

(Yo cousin you should do an Eon post)
Crystal heard her loud and clear, but decided she shouldn't say anything. Tucking her tail to her side, she watched with Cave silently at the scene.

(*Spicy meme of avoidness*)

Dusk padded up alongside Copper, taking great efforts to flash the ruined side of her face. She held no shame in it- it'd already become a trophy in lieu of the pelt from the enemy none of them had quite eliminated. And her missing eye was just another noble sacrifice for the greater cause.
"So," she growled in a gruff voice she thought should rightfully accompany such a prestigious scar, "are you up to patrol with them?" Her remaining eye glittered with mischievousness that the war's wake hadn't been able to quench. "Or we could gather a few of the late-risers and go see how one eye holds up in hunting."

(storm)

Slate laid in the mud, his thick fur slicked flat by it's goo. He watched the goings-on around the camp without moving anything but his eyes, too exhausted to move. Too sad to move. He vaugly remembered this feeling when he was a jailed pet, after being locked up for too long. An overwhelming sense of loneliness swpet over him.

He lifted his head just enough to nose at a deep cut on the back of his paw, and wondered how long he could use that as a lame excuse to not do anything. Maybe he'd even loose his whole foot, and never have to patrol again!
The morbidity if the thought surprised him. With another mournful sigh, he laid his head back down and stared into nothingness.

"It's okay," he soothed, his tail waving slowly in placated acceptance of it all. This all felt so unreal- maybe he was drugged on the fumes from the yotes' territory, who knew. "We'll get through this together."

As his name was called, Obsidian became sharply aware of the doors that this interaction would hold wide open for the more giddy dogs. Face burning, he hastily backed away from Hollyshadow. "Alright, Raksha, Night, anyone else?" he rambled, busying himself with a circling trot around the trio.~
Seeker raised her head. She was in the healer's den, having learned that her sister, Dark, was suffering blood lose. Dark's back left leg was ripped and shredded, and it would be useless to her... If she lived.
Seeker looked away from the patrol, whatever she wanted, she could hardly leave her sister.

Lilypup nudged Snappup (@HeavensHens88 ) who she had been dozing beside her. "Night's back." She whispered. "And he's okay."

Hollyshadow smiled, backing away from him slowly."I'll go."

"Not so fast!"A cry echoed from the clearing, and Squrrielflight came running over. She looked at Obsidian."Raksha cannot go. She is badly wounded from last night."The orange Sheyote turned and gave Raksha a hard, but concerned stare."Dont try to hide it from me, Raksha. I can tell your in pain."

Birch looked over at Breeze, trembling in fear. She had never felt as scared in her life as she was now, she Wasnt this scared last night or in any other battle. This was life or death for her sister. Her best friend. The dog that had always been there for her, supported her and loved her no matter what. Now, the brave, smart, quick and loyal Shedog was almost lifeless. Birch stared at Breeze, pleading glittering her gaze."Please."She choked."There must be more you can do."Her voice crackled with emotion.

Flame looked over at Obsidian."I know I'm not supposed to be here, I'm so sorry. I'll help hunt in a little bit, just, let me check on my sisters."Flame trotted past him, ears flat and body low to the ground. She pushed her way into Breeze's den, and paused. The scent of blood and herbs was overwhelming, and her head started spinning with all the scents. She shook her head, and looked over at Birch. She had seen her sister on patrols and battles before, before she knew she was her half sister. Yet, she had never seen the Shedog look so scared in her life. The normally brave and bold, sometimes hotheaded Shedog was crouched beside Ash, her ears flat on her head, her body trembling. Flame tilted her head, Birch Didnt seem to see anything around her, or even hear anything."Is she ok?"Flame woofed softly to Breeze.
