A Leghorn thing or a breeding thing?

I had five Leghorns I got from the feed store. One has been culled due to peritonitis and two others are showing symptoms now. Is this a common ailment among certain breeds or is it genetic (bad breeding)? Aaack...

I would guess that it is a case of bad genetics as we have had Leghorns for over 2 years and never had any problems with peritonitis. Sorry to hear you are having trouble and hope no more start.
