You can't go wrong with Remington 870 in 12 ga. For varmits I use a Colt hbar.

I use a 12 gauge Remington 870 Magnum as well. Wonderfull for turkeys. Taking it coyote hunting next week with a 22 as well

Thanks to everyone for their input. Last night I picked up the Remington 870 Express 12 gauge shotgun.

I'm looking forward to turkey hunting next year with it!

As always, you folks provided lots of great information to consider. Thanks!!!!

I would think you should go to a gun forum, introduce yourself and get a WHOLE lotta input.

Guns and ammo has a nice forum and the gents and ladies on there are extraordinary.

You will need a "choke" to get a good group and this does get expensive.

I would thiink you need a 20 guage for the varmits (MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT GET A NON AUTO) and a 12 guage, same thing.

The sigle, double shots really kick with the 20 guage and this is not what you want in a small caliber.

I use my Savage .22 for varmints.

The Remington 870 shotgun is for wild turkey next year. It is chambered to take both 2 3/4 and 3" shells.

A Remington 770 .270 is my main deer rifle.
