Actualllly, this week Goon 1 is back to being male. I just can’t call him a duck despite a lack of masculine traits. I just can’t! Goon 1 will be a duck when I witness her laying an egg! Goon 2 remains as feminine and 100% duck as ever

What is goon 1 doing? Any recent pics? How old are they again?

5+ months. No hissing or anything, just looking heavier-set (close to Daphne’s 6lbs probably) and acting like a jerk... a jerk who mounts Daphne when the pool water is fresh and everyone’s feeling frisky! It’s more of a feeling than anything. This was 2 weeks ago. I’ll update pictures this weekend!

And Goon 1 is just not dainty and overtly feminine like Goon 2. Goon 2 is a compact little boat of a duck (weighs 5 lbs at most).

I’d like it to be known that I can tell the sex of any mammal, from newborn kittens to bunnies. I’m not proud of the fact that I can’t tell what the heck Goon 1 is! I’m ever so tempted to draw some blood and send it to the lab to get a definite answer...

Duck hens will mount other duck hens. You would see a penis by now. It is very evident after they do their biz and then walk away.

They were born on the same day... The woman who owned them had a ton of Muscovies of both sexes, so I don’t know if they share the same mother and father. I know that he should be significantly bigger than her (instead of ever so slightly bigger) if he is a drake and have thicker legs (he doesn’t), but there’s just something “off” about him. If he is a she, she definitely has more testosterone than Goon 2!
