A sad story from craigslist

Oh so true.

I wouldn't say it sounds made up? It sounds sad to me. Remember, the guy is 49 y/o, so that was a long time ago, things are different now. But the truth of the matter is, people really should think about those little easter pets for their children. They are not disposable, especially if your child or children become attached to them. Like so many other animals out there that don't have homes. Remember, we on byc love our little babies, right?

Wow, what a sad story..It's really sad to see somthing bought just because it's cute and then tossed away like trash as it grows up and is no longer that little cute thing. I always tell my kids (Because they are planning on getting a puppy this spring) that puppies are cute when they are little but. They grow up and become big dogs that arent that little cute fluff ball anymore but. That does not mean they have to slack off on feeding caring and giving it attention. So sad..A real tear jerking story!

it sounds a little made up to me...the person may have lied about their age as well....and even if it is true it is most definitely exaggerated....he told it like he was writing a book, too discriptive for recalling memories as a 4 year old....but its possible its true....but its hard to believe anyone anymore and im sure many of you know what im talking about.

anywho....he was implying that the chicken getting killed was a dream??

Maybe it was made up...but Maybe this was a story to let those out there who read it. That you should think before you jump into taking on a pet and then tossing it out like it meant nothing. What I take from this story is that parents..ect buying chicks/ducks/other poultry or any animal as somthing CUTE for your childern and then once this pet grows up and is big and not so cute to just toss it away. Thats what I take from it.
