Thank you all for sharing your experiences on this forum which led to an educational experience today. We are in the middle of our first hatch and so far it's looking good (8 hatches so far today on day 21) thanks to knowledge gleaned here 3 that may not have made it are up and at em!
Temperature-check,
humidity-check,
brooder setup-check,
supplies on hand-check.

Shell stuck to a chick?-check BYC forum for guidance. Resolution-successful dampening of membrane and removal of shell (humidity issue?)
Umbilical cord stuck to shell? - check BYC forum for guidance Resolution-successful cut of cord
Chick zipped maybe an inch and stopped for 6 hours? Check BYC forum for guidance. Resolution moisten membrane where encasing chick or where stuck to chick until it could kick free. Humidity must be an issue, methinks.

Had two separate Hygrometers that were calibrated correctly. Ran 45% for 18 days and then kicked it up to 68% and locked down.
Are those numbers too low?

I usually run 20-40% then up to around 75% fit the last few days.
