~A Wisp of Sand~ a a desert cat tribe rp

"I'm sure I will," Sun agreed, but after seeing Mongoose's reaction she felt her heart begin to hurt too. "I've never tried lizard. I've had jungle rats, and one time my tribe took down a capybara in the midst of winter that fed us for weeks." Maybe I can go back with Mongoose someday. But how could she? She had been exiled by her own tribe and she could never go back!

"your going to love it here with us!" Dart said, coming out into the clearing. "There are all sorts of cats here, from every corner from the desert! Do you like lizard? I find it rather chewy myself, but they're everywhere! Along with these pokey thorns, which you should NOT step in, I learned that the hard way!" He laughed, barely pausing before launching into another racket. "So where are you from? How- oh! Sorry! Another new cat!" He exclaimed, reeling back from barreling into sun. "Sorry about that! My name is dart, nice to make your acquaintance!" He puffed, out of breath.
"I'm from another tribe that lives near here." Chipmunk mewed. He glanced over to Sun. "So, this tribe will accept anyone? Even someone from another tribe?" he asked Dart nervously.

(That's a great post!)

Nile appeared at the scene. "So what really happened back there, with Cobra, and all." Concern edged her eyes and she thought about it. My mother, I left her with him! I never should have abandoned her there, I tried to warn her, to take her with me, whatever happened to her? "D-do you know what happened to Oleander?"
Lion walked up next to her, his eyes in shadow. "Nile, it's not your fault. You tried, it's not your fault. I told you this before...."

dart watched the clearing quietly. They're all so sad.. he thought, his eyes drifting from Nile and lion, their heads close together, to Mongoose, and finally to sun. They've lost things..cats. He glanced back to pebble. Maybe that's why we follow the thunderers.. to mend our lives.. to fix the smashed jar, and seal it together again. He stood, feeling streangth in his bones. "What if we-you know, went to the jungle?" He blurted out.

"I'm from another tribe that lives near here." Chipmunk mewed. He glanced over to Sun. "So, this tribe will accept anyone? Even someone from another tribe?" he asked Dart nervously.
"anyone chipmunk! I lived in mans city before I ran away. Mongoose saved me, and brought me here. They became my family, without a second thought." He purred. Encouragement warming his voice. "Your part of my family now, your part of us!" He nodded decidedly.

Sun nodded but her gaze darkened. In jungle tribes, new cats would never be accepted... except for those kits. She shook her head and turned away the thought. Things were different here.
"So where exactly do you sleep?" she ventured nervously.

Thorn sniffed the air. Even though Stickybeak didn't want to be noticed, Thorn smelled her right away. "Another cat!" She cried out loud. Our numbers are increasing daily! She briskly and silently brushed through the grass, it's waving silenced her footsteps. Her yellow pelt blended in. Tiny pawsteps. She peered through the grasses. Was the new cat hostile? She wasn't sure she wanted to find out, but if it wanted to go on a killing spree it would have caught her by now, and if it didn't want trouble, and would fight to be alone she would just let it be. It was a light brown tabby female cat with longish hair. Thorn stepped into where the she-cat could see her clearly, and walked sideways to show no aggression. "What brings a loner here?" She asked. She honestly didn't mind if she never saw the cat again, but she wanted to be hospitable and save lives like her own was saved yesterday.

Stickybeak was walking along, watching a crow circling and cawing in the blue sky, when she first sensed the yellow cat. It walked into her full view, out of the long grass. She jumped. She stood looking at the other animal for a few seconds, then all of a sudden, bolted away. Her thoughts raced as she ran. It had given her a shock to suddenly see that cat; she hadn't encountered many since she first began her travels from Khartoum, in Sudan. She hoped desperately that she wouldn't be followed.

(Sorry I missed when you were all online! I'm free to rp tomorrow, so I'll be on to play soon!)
(I missed it all too, but it was worth it, because I went to a youth thingy at church and we wore our selves out. We ate pizza and cookies, we played hide and seek in the dark, we did charades, and we did a karaoke battle. My church friends are my best friends l, so it was a blast!

"What's wrong?" cried Thorn.

"Thunderer Tribe never been to the jungle before," said Nile sternly. "But if the Thunderers take us there, let it be." There was suddenly trumpeting from the Thunderers. They were southbound, back to the nightmare that she had been living in.
