Aaahhhhhh Double yolker, alive on day 18. Whats best to do?

Will the veins go before it internally pips into the air cell or after???
What normally happens during a hatch is that the chick pips internally, into the air sac, where it starts to breathe. It can take up to 4 hours before it pips through the shell, after pipping internally and after this external pip it can take up to 24 hours or more before it completes the hatch. During this time it finishes absorbing the yolk and the blood in the membranes. During my days of learning how to assist (I learned through trial and error) I found that absorbing the last of the blood in the membrane is the final thing it does before it hatches, after finishing absorbing the yolk.

I've tried to hatch 2yolkers everytime my hens lay one. unfortunately only one of yolks gets fertilized (in my case) and the baby usually dies on day 17-18 because of the other rotten yolk :(

Sorry for the late reply but the double didn't make it. I would advise helping out a little earlier then i did (day 21) as They both where fully formed chicks with the majority of there yolk sac absorbed. Thanks everyone for there help. Cheers Harry
