Abandoned Bunny - UPDATE

Well, I have been feeding, watering and getting the bunny to trust me. He finally let me pet him and my son was getting attached. My oldest son is a very quiet, sensitive boy who loves animals. I bought the bunny a new waterer and bed yesterday. I just dropped my son off at school, came home and realized they took the bunny in the night last night. The bunny is gone and so is the waterer and his bed. All I can do is hope they feed it or at least give it to someone who will care for him.

Thanks all for your kind words and advice. You guys are the best.

So sorry to hear that -- you still did the right thing -- sorry that you put out the money, and those JERKS stole that too.
I hope your son can cope with it ok.

Would have been nice of them to thank you at the very least .
You did an amazing job and have lots of experience.
Now you can go to a rescue organization and adopt your own bunny that the kids can get attached to and not worry that anyone will take it away from you.

rainbow eggs has a very good point. There are LOTS of bunnies that would love to be in a home like yours.

*not to mention cavies, chinchillas, other furred critters, and all kinds of feathered ones, too*
