Okay so here is where I'm at now. The duckling seems to be making slow and steady progress. I am no able to fully dedicated time to helping hatch right this minute as I'm also working and taking care a sick baby so I don't want to go into help and it be to early and the duckling needs extra attention I cannot give it. Obviously I don't want it to die otherwise I wouldn't have brought it in and make some horrible ghetto incubator to try and save it. I have zero experience in incubator hatching. So I'm kinda just lost at this point.

So what should @lilnuggets be looking for to help make the decision more clear on whether or not it is time to intervene?
My opinion is when it is no longer yawning and chewing.
And if it is getting too dry I think the membrane will start to look really brown. But that part I'm not completely sure about because I always put coconut oil on any exposed membrane so that sort of makes the color look different.

Yellowing external membrane indicating that the egg has dried out, no further progress within 36 to 48 hours of an external pip, or starting to zip and then stopping indicating that it's stuck and can't zip further.

What should stop you from assisting are seeing blood in the membrane, seeing the duckling making yawning/chewing motions indicating that it's still absorbing, or it making progress on its own, indicating an assist is not necessary because it just doesn't need help.

I honestly don’t see a need to rush in and help yet, especially if you don’t have time to commit to it. If you can monitor it every half hour or so, I believe it will be fine
And I’m a big hands-on Hatcher. I just don’t want you to rush it, and have unabsorbed yolk.
But it’s definitely your call to make.
