Abandoned ducks. Need help on how to catch them.

You have to go at night or in the early morning when on one is around. Some people just don't know what they are talking about! UGGH That is so frustrating!

Do you have a net like you'd use for fishing? If you can get them close enough with food to put the net over them that might work.

Update time. I almost had them yesterday. They were within my reach when some lady runs over and scares them off because she wanted to feed them and was mad I wasn’t feeding the corn. I tried to explain to her what I was doing and she just started lecturing me on how I’m feeding them awful food and so on. I told her I owned Ducks and what I’m feeding them is perfectly acceptable. This lady wouldn’t listen. She kept scaring the ducks away who are literally starving any time they got close. So I moved away from her and she kept following me! I had to leave and come back at night. Just my kick a whole flock of wild mallards came by and convinced the ducks to sleep out on the water. So I haven’t had the best luck. I’ll try again later today and hopefully I’ll be able to get them.

Maybe a friend or neighbor that likes to fish might have one you could borrow?

Ladies and gentlemen I did it. I was able to catch two of the three. Night perfect but as Meat Loaf said 2 out of 3 ain’t bad. Now I just need to know what I have to do with them. I figure they need to be dewormed because they were hanging with wild ducks and eating who knows what. What else should I do before introducing them to my flock?

They don’t appear sick or anything. I’m worried though because we have a big storm blowing our way and I have no place to put them but in the coop. Is there any measures I can take to prevent sickness or parasites.

Can you not put them under cover somewhere where they will be warm and dry? Do a makeshift pen maybe in a garage? what is your set up?

I forgot I cleaned out the shed. I can put them in there for the night.
