It has been raining pretty hard and for the second time I was so excited to find a cute little froggy in the outside water bowl!

Later on he left and I was thinking how sweet it was he comes to visit in the rain.

My girls were out and about in the yard, all of a sudden I heard a loud squeak! And Alexander (hen) runs off with a frog dangling from her beak!

I think she ate it! It was a good size but looked like she swallowed it down!

Is that OK?

Yeah mine love frogs to.Perfectly fine for them. It's funny seeing frog legs dangeling out of ones beak and everyone else trying to steal it.It looks like football to me!

Yep! I have witnessed more than 1 frog dangling from a beak and the chicken with the poor little frog running around the yard making that "Running Chicken" noise that sounds to me like, "I got it--I got it!!!" While all the others pursue...

My daughter picked up one of our hens one night--with a tiny toad gripped in her beak. "Eek! Put her down! Putherdown! Let her finish!"

I've also found a few mangled amphibians (toads, frogs and salamanders) in their run. Since I've been letting my gals out in the evenings, I've noticed far less amphibians and snakes than previously.

Mine have eaten several small snakes that I know of. Frog and lizards also seem to be good for them. We were cleaning shrimp the other day and I found that they love the skins and heads. I'm starting to be less surprised at what they'll eat.
