Acting weird

There's only so much you can do unfortunately. I read a post where they said when they did a necropsy after a chicken died they found its crop was full of string, certainly not anything I would expect to find. I tend not to intervene too often with unwell chickens because it often doesn't make a difference and mostly I am guessing at what is wrong. I'm hoping your hen improves and it's just one of those things.

Yeah she's not doing worse so I think that's a good sign I hope she's just acting weird because she's getting ready to lay an egg but that's just a guess.

The runny poops is not diarrhea exactly......it's all the water they drink to shed heat from their bodies, when it's really hot it's completely normal and not a sign of illness.

I figured that I just didn't really know what to call it but thank you for informing me that's it's completely normal!

Update:
This morning she's acting pretty much back to her normal self. Her crop feels like there's feed in it instead of water but I checked her about an hour or so after they got up so I'm sure she's eating now. All of the flock was standing around preening and she was kinda closing her eyes standing there but I don't think that's really abnormal. She still scratching around in the dirt and her crop makes me feel relieved that whatever the problem was has fixed itself. I'll still be watching her closely.
