My trusty ReptiPro 6000 died, and the ReptiPro company is no more, I guess. I ordered a new Vevor 25L incubator, which is basically the same thing.
But.
It's missing the VERY important cord notches that the ReptiPro had (see pictures below, the temp probes placed in the water weasels exit the unit where the notches are in the frame, on the left side--ignore the wire covering the racks in the second pic, I had an idea that flopped). The Vevor manual says there is a cord notch for their egg turner 'in the door frame, near the top'.
Nope.
Help me please, chicken friends! Without these notches, the temp probe cords would be damaged or cut when the door is closed. Anyone here have any experience cutting cord notches in a Vevor incubator? Much as I hate to do it on a brand new unit, the water weasel/temp probe method is VITAL where I live!
