I have 8 hens about a year old and about 28 chicks about 8 weeks old mixed in with the older hens and free ranging. I know someone who has a rooster and 4 hens for sale for 10 bucks I am wondering how introducing a rooster with the chicks will go will I have to worry about him attacking the chicks or will he been to Bush with the hens. 2 of the chicks are roosters will that matter as they grow?

Make sure to do a quarantine. Just in case. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...nderestimated-part-of-raising-chickens.67097/

But you don’t want to just introduce new hens/roosters to an existing flock. Doing the look but can’t touch method is the best way to introduce new chickens. Basically keep your new flock where your existing flock can see them but cannot get at them. Behind some fencing or in a dog kennel. It prevents bullying and, with a rooster, dead chicks. You would do this after quarantining though.
