i have 6 rhode island reds that are about 4 months old that i bought all as 1 week old chicks they have been together sence hatch. about a month after that i bought some day old chicks and put in my small coop i got 6 of them also, they are about 3 months old and i just put them in the big coop with my rhode island reds. my question is how long does it take for them to get back into a normal pecking order and to stop chasing each other around. they have been in the coop for two days now and it seems as it is not as bad as the first day they were in there, but some help would be appreciated. i did put two diffrent food containers in the coop on opposite ends so they both could eat. but the 3 month olds tend to stay in one corner most of the time..
