Adult Female Japanese Coturnix Quail seeking same

Nevermind, my one hen escaped from her pen tonight and I cant find her in the yard

I could cry. She left me one cute little infertile egg. Is there a good way to bait them back in to catch them? Will she stick around?

She should stick around. Most of mine do if predators don't find them first

She is probably hiding in the grass or behind something.

I hope you find her!!!

We dont have much in the way of predators except my own cats which I have made sure are in and in lockdown as far as the family is concerned. I have put food an water near where she escaped. I'll check for her again tomorrow. I thought I could hear her... alas I guess I was wrong. Been looking for 2 hours

Thanks for the support. I've been contacted by someone on Craig's List in the Seattle area regarding adult Coturnix, so wish me luck.

LovinMyPeeps - I sure wish we had gotten her as a chick, that way she'd be used to being handled like our other birds....we've only had her a couple of weeks.... GOOD LUCK finding your little one!!

If anyone has an adult female or 2 and they're near Carnation, I'll come get them from you!!! I'd hate to ship them...
