Mines 39mbps i still have it loading ads after ive scrolled down. Reserving a space would be a lot nicer to scroll through (in my opinion) jumping stuff kind of makes me feel sick.

The ads are definitly changing. It was one that was almost square and changed to a half height rectangular car ad. Which made all of the above posts move when it changed.

Yeah, they refresh about every 30 seconds, which I believe is pretty common for many sites.

We're still tweaking things to try and reduce the "jumpy" feeling.

I've been testing it on my phone and desktop, and different browsers, and I'm not noticing much jumpiness... but maybe that's because my connection is around 20 Mbps?

I'm sorry if this has been brought up before, but... Will there ever be a like. Lite Membership? I would love to support this site and get rid of the ads... But $60 is a lot.

I feel like you'd get a lot more people if there was some sort of ad removing level of membership that was somewhere between $10-$30 a year instead.

To clarify, you're comparing viewing the site as a pfm with no ads vs not logged in, having ads, on a fast connection and no jumpiness?

Correct. I logged out...and was browsing the site as a non member and had zero jumping.

I understand the need to support the site, but the ads in the middle of threads is super annoying. It is almost like I didn't sign up for the site.
Most forum sites that I have visited remove the ads from in between threads if you sign up. You still get ads, but they are not as annoying. Believe me we still see all ads no matter where you place them.
This recent change is almost as if I was still lurking - that is the level of annoyance. When you go to post and an ad makes you click on the wrong portion of the page or you have to wait for the ad to totally load it is frustrating - It hasn't been fun navigating this morning.

I get the need for ads, but it would be nice if they targeted me with stuff I need, like a budgeting program vs what will get me in trouble, like that $15000 embroidery machine.

Sorry, they are doing some testing and those are slipping through on desktop for PFM's. They should be fixed soon.

They are also on my tablet in desktop mode
