Advice on incubated egg - is it viable?

Sorry, I don't know what I was thinking - I had the headlamp on lowest intensity! I checked the Ayam cemani egg and I see veins and an embryo and it's clearly moving!

The other egg still looks the same though and I just see a darker round part that moves around the egg as I turn it - just like a yolk.
Ohhh, ok. That egg is alive.
The other egg with just the yolk is probably dead.

I am so happy about the Ayam cemani egg! 😊 So wat do you think regarding the Welsumer? Should I remove it from the incubator? I think that there would be at least some change noticeable after 6 days since the first candling...

Yeah, you probably can. Is the Ayam your only other egg in the incubator?
Also, can you post a few more good quality pics of the Welsummer while candling?

It is - I only bought two eggs.

I don't want to go into the incubator now to interrupt the incubation. But as I've mentioned, the egg looks the same as it did in the first post. I was trying to look for anything, veins, the eye, but it just seems like a coherent round mass that didn't grew from the last candling and it's moving around the egg in the direction of the turning. I don't have any eggs in the fridge to try and see a difference, but to my untrained eye, it just seems like a yolk. I imagine this darker part, if it would be an embryo would become significantly larger in 6 days? It seems to be filling 1/4 of the egg at best. I don't have any comparison unfortunately as the Ayam cemani egg is pure white.

If this egg hatches do you have another day old chick available to raise with it? They shouldn't be raised alone. It's probably a dud. I think you can pull it.

I don't unfortunately. I know I could've get more eggs, but I was hoping that they would both hatch and would grow together.

Thank you, I will do it tomorrow. Maybe I shouldn't, but I will crack the egg to just make sure that it was a right decision.

Oh. That's too bad. It's usually good to assume that only about 50% may hatch, sometimes less. It's very rare to get a 100% hatch rate, and have both chicks hatch. You can leave the egg in longer, it won't hurt anything. If you want to remove it that's fine though.
Is there anyone near you that will sell you a baby chick? Or can you order some chicks?

I will adopt the rest of the chickens shortly after, but it will take a couple of weeks before I can let the chick into the flock right?
You will have to wait until the chick is at least 8 weeks old before integrating it. If you don't find another chick to raise with it it will be very hard to integrate. It will always be picked on, and could get very injured. If there are 2, they will find comfort in each other and eventually be accepted.
By now it would almost be better to try and get more hatching eggs. If you could find 1-3 day old chicks that would be best though.

I know, I should have gone for at least 3 eggs - my mistake. I can leave it for sure, I just don't want it to go bad and explode - I heard that can happen?

I actually checked and there is someone selling chicks not so far away. They are more than a week old though, is that a problem?

What if it would be a rooster? Would it still get picked on, if the rest of the flock would be hens?
